Confirmation Program is a two-year process of faith formation for High School students (Grade 9-11) who will be prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the end of the second year of religious instruction. The students are prepared to learn and know more about the Catholic religion and to have a better appreciation and value of their faith. Classes and instructions are held in an interactive approach and in a student-friendly manner where the students can interact, express themselves and learn about the fundamental teachings of the Catholic Church.
Confirmation classes are held on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, September to June. Our dedicated and committed catechists conduct the instruction and facilitate the classes in small groups for a better interaction and learning. Students are also given an opportunity to attend spiritual retreats and recollections.
Confirmation classes and instructions are divided into two levels:
⦁ Level I - first year in Confirmation process
⦁ Level II - second year in Confirmation process
Conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation is held at the end of the Level II formation, usually after Easter. Students who still need to receive the sacraments of baptism, and/or 1st reconciliation or 1st communion prior to the reception of the sacrament of confirmation, will be prepared for these sacraments during the Confirmation process.
Registration is held during the summer months. Classes begin in September and ends in June. Call the Religious Education Office +1 (562) 445-4542 for more information.
